Current Obsession: Wallets on Chain

When I was in Paris about 2 years ago, I noticed everyone wandering around with wallets on chains. The small bags were everywhere. I considered how much shlepping my tote was affecting my travel days and how sore my muscles were by the time I got back to my airbnb. And also, why isn’t this a thing in US cities? I thought about it so much that I made an appointment at Chanel, naïve and hopeful the boutique would have some available. They did not. They received shipments regularly, sold out EVERY MORNING, and it was impossible to get a morning appointment.

It encouraged me to add chains to the MANY wallets I already owned. We don’t realize how many imbalances carrying handbags can cause. I think I’ve always been too infatuated with the beauty of handbags to put on my kinesiology hat and think about the skeletal and muscular damage shoulder bags can cause. Carrying a heavy bag causes you to lean to that side, which can lead to shoulder, neck, and back muscles and possibly even cause numbness into neck, back, and arm.

Stop and think. How much literal weight and baggage (we’re not talking about emotional baggage today) do we actually need to carry around with us all. the. time.? Now I help others find/create their own affordable, upcycled luxury bags. I’m here to help with the affordability AND health benefits of wallets on chain.
